Hey, nice to meet you! I’m Imke, the one who had the slightly crazy idea to start an underwear brand from scratch in Germany.

I’m the main designer and one of the biggest driving forces behind Tizz & Tonic. My days are a mix of product design, pattern making, collection concepts, sewing in the studio, social media, photography, and about a hundred other little things that keep the brand moving.

Tizz & Tonic takes up a pretty big part of my life, but honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Even after 9 years, I still believe in what we do — and what we stand for — more than ever.

Before all of this, I studied Fashion Techniques and Design in Toronto. Then, at 22, I moved to Germany with not much of a plan… and somehow, this is where it led.

When I’m not in the studio, I’m usually chasing adventure somewhere in the world. I have an endless appetite for travel, exploring new cultures, tasting my way through new places, and navigating the planet with a small bag and a lot of curiosity.

And of course, I do it all wearing the best undies.

Hey, nice to meet you! I’m Yanna, the one who had the equally crazy idea to join my sister in building this brand from scratch.

I manage a lot of the behind-the-scenes side of Tizz & Tonic - the less glitzy but very necessary stuff - and I also help with production in the studio. I work closely with Imke to bring our collections to life, keep the creative chaos in check, and make sure the business actually flows.

I’m also the one who made sustainability non-negotiable from the very beginning. My deal was basically: “Okay Imke, I’ll join you, but this brand has to be as green, clean, and lean as possible.”

At the moment, I’m working from abroad in Singapore, where I’m continuing my studies and enjoying life outside of Germany for a year or two. Before that, I completed my Bachelor of Science at Dalhousie University, lived in Spain, and eventually made my way to Germany.

When I’m not in the studio or behind my computer, I’m usually involved in wildlife and environmental projects, including volunteering with WWF and other conservation-focused programmes. And when I need a break from all that, you’ll probably find me in the water, on the water, or under the water diving.

I love adventure, and I really, really love the ocean.

Hey, nice to meet you! I’m Anna, and I help out at the Tizz & Tonic studio with cutting, preparing pieces for sewing, packing your orders with lots of love, and helping behind the scenes on photoshoots and content creation.

I’m passionate about design, colour, and living unapologetically as yourself -something I stand strongly by.

When I’m not at Tizz HQ, I’m busy designing my own collections, running half marathons, and working on my Love Letter Club.

Hey, I’m Sarah! I’ve been the main photographer for Tizz & Tonic since the very beginning, so you’ll usually find me behind the camera at our photoshoots.

After training and working with two renowned photography agencies, I decided to go fully freelance and focus on my own vision and values. I believe in brands that use their work to create a better tomorrow, which is why Tizz & Tonic feels like such a natural fit for me.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m working on side quests like writing and podcasting. More on that later!

This is a little extra shout-out to all the amazing women - mostly from Bremen! - who show up to our photoshoots, show off their beautiful butts in the name of Tizz, and enjoy a few snacks and bubbly while they’re at it.

From the very beginning, it has been important to us that the people modelling our underwear reflect the real people we design for. Without their dedication to our twice-yearly in -studio shoots - and sometimes very spontaneous outdoor ones - our collections and our whole vibe wouldn’t be half as wonderful.

We absolutely consider them part of our team.
