OUR DESIGN STUDIO IS IN BREMEN, GERMANY

Tizz & Tonic was founded in Bremen, Germany, which is still home to our main design studio today. This is where we develop our core collections and where every piece for our mini-collections and limited edition drops are sewn!
It might come as a surprise, but hundreds of T & T basics are still made right here in our studio by our small team. Before we began outsourcing production to Portugal (and some pieces to Berlin), every single garment was created in-house. That experience gave us a deep understanding of fabric and fit, and it’s why we continue to stay closely involved in every step of the manufacturing process.
MANY UNDIES ARE SEWN IN PORTUGAL

Since 2024, we’ve been working closely with a small manufacturer in northern Portugal. This is where our classic underwear styles - including the Brazilian, Cheeky, Hipsters, and Boxer Briefs - are produced. We’re grateful to have found a partner who can support our small-batch production needs.
We stay in close contact with the team and try to visit about once a year, putting faces to names and strengthening the relationship. For us, understanding how our pieces are made and maintaining open, transparent communication with the people who make them is essential.
AND SOME ITEMS ARE SEWN IN BERLIN

In 2023, we began working with a small sewing lab in Berlin that supports us with the production of some of our tops and t-shirts. Like our partners in Portugal, they specialize in small-batch work, which allows us to stay flexible and produce thoughtfully rather than at scale.
Their support is especially valuable during our busier periods, helping us keep timelines realistic without compromising on quality. Working with a team nearby also means we can stay closely connected to the process, maintain clear communication, and ensure every piece meets our standards before it reaches you.

I thought I would whack a photo of myself here to say hey and to make sure that you know there are indeed real people behind this brand. I started Tizz & Tonic out of my living room in 2018 in a country and language that isn't my own (spoiler alert - I'm Canadian!). It has certainly been a journey - so thanks for finding us and learning a little bit about where your undies are made. We are very glad you're here - stick around for a bit! :)
